Non profit child care center bylaws

Thrive Learning Center is a well-child childcare center. This means that if your child is not feeling well, for any reason, you will need to find alternate care. One of our primary concerns is the control of communicable illness between children, as well as staff. All of our policies and guidelines related to outbreaks of communicable illness have been set in place with the help of state and local health officials and consultants. In order to protect our entire center, as well as your own child, we ask that parents assist us by not bringing their child if he/she has a contagious illness or exhibits any of the symptoms listed within our policy. You can find our Wellness policy here .

SAFETY AND TRAINING

We provide a safe environment for children as we meet all health and safety guidelines and are licensed and inspected annually by the City of Moscow as well as the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. And, as we are also participating in the Steps to Quality program through Idaho STARS, this furthers training and education for all staff .

OUR STAFF

Our teachers are qualified by education and/or experience to work with young children. All staff are required to have background checks and child-abuse record clearances. They are also certified in First Aid and CPR and are licensed Daycare Providers. Each staff member is also required to complete training with Idaho Stars and are licensed as a childcare provider through the City of Moscow.

In accordance with the City of Moscow's childcare regulations, each of our staff is allotted 12 points. Infants are four points; 12 months through age two (walkers and toddlers) are two points; three and four-year-olds are one point; and five-year-olds are a 1/2 point.
